For the past 8 years, James served as the Global Chief Information Security Officer (GCISO) for Adevinta (formerly eBay EMEA), overseeing Europe's leading online classifieds platforms, including eBayK (Germany), mobile.de (Germany), marktplaats.NL (Netherlands), Kijiji.CA(Canada), Leboncoin (France), and Infojobs (Spain), supporting over 1 billion users worldwide. His cybersecurity responsibilities included developing and implementing strategies, policies, plans, and related cybersecurity support services.

Before joining eBay, James held key international cybersecurity leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, working for organizations such as NASA, Nike EMEA, Raytheon, and the USEPA. Throughout his career, James has received awards for his cybersecurity contributions and has been passionately involved in enhancing the Caribbean region's cybersecurity posture. Whether within or outside the region, he is a recognized cybersecurity speaker, covering a range of cybersecurity topics from Barbados to Belize. A graduate of Old Dominion University in Electrical Engineering, James is also a proud US Navy veteran and a former member of USN Fighter Squadron 31.  

Aside from his cybersecurity pursuits, he is a father of two beautiful girls and a lover of art, photography, poetry, and good food.
